3 Day Tuna Diet
Where did the 3 Day Tuna Diet Come from? It seems several different sources claim everything from unknown origins to a famous hospital. No matter who created it, this diet is dangerous on some very serious levels.
First, as with any “Diet” or Eating Regimen, when you reduce caloric intake, the following will result;
* SOMETIMES there is weight loss and it is only water weight
* Your Metabolism Will Slow Down (the opposite of what you want to happen)
* You are “starving” Yourself
* You are creating feelings of frustration and dissatisfaction (which later down the road will result in more damaging effects i.e. overeating)
* Once you start eating normally again, you will gain the weight back. More than often, you will gain MORE than you lost
Now, what makes the 3 day tuna diet even more dangerous and will actually CAUSE Weight GAIN is what you are REALLY doing to your body when you go on this or any type of DIET.
First, any eating program that tells you to reduce the intake or does not encourage the drinking of WATER is bad, really bad. When you body is lacking H2O you become dehydrated. Everyone know this right? But here are 2 facts that not everyone is aware of when it comes to the importance of water–1.) If you are retaining water, chances are very good that you need more of it! Your body is hoarding water as a defense mechanism! If you drink more, your body will trust you again and you will actually LOSE that water weight naturally. And 2.) Water helps flush the TOXINS Out of your body. NEVER go on any “Diet” or Eating Program where Water intake is reduced or not mentioned. Drink at least 2 liters of water every day!
